Physician, educator, lecturer and a pioneer in the mental health field. Born in Cass County, Texas, in 1911. Received degrees from East Texas State University, University of Texas, Baylor College of Medicine and University of Chicago. Served as Chief Administrator at the State Hospital in Big Spring, Texas, from 1953 to 1975 and instituted many changes in the treatment of the mentally ill.
